Tems’s voice be making me feel guilty for s**t I didn’t even do.

F**k it, I’ll go ahead and say it: Tems put up the most impressive performance of 2021 in “Essence” with WizKid. Matter of fact, that’s her song now. I also think that Tems put up a solid performance in Drake’s “Fountain” track from Certified Lover Boy. Today, the Nigerian singer (That kind of looks like my ex… Yikes) decided to release a groovy new single called “Crazy Tings.”

“Crazy Tings” is slight work for Tems. Over an uptempo, colorful island instrumental, she switches between passionate singer and subdued singer, doing her best to let her soon-to-be-ex know that she isn’t with the way he mistreats her. More than anything, this is a rhythmic song. My only issue is that I know Tems can shift to another gear vocally (I think her previous work has spoiled us).
