New York City-based musician, Jeryko (aka Yaniv Hoffman), is an alternative pop singer and songwriter with a unique style that incorporates various genre elements for a truly memorable sound. Growing up in a conservative Jewish family, Jeryko was exposed to a wide variety of music (such as R&B, jazz, and soul) from a young age. After exploring various paths (which included forming a rock band in his teens and studying music business at NYU), the artist’s musical journey eventually led to him pursuing a career under the stage name Jeryko. His latest release is the alternative pop single “Be the One.”
The concept for his new single comes from Disney’s The Lion King. While reflecting on “Be the One,” Jeryko stated on social media, “it hit me how powerful the love story of Simba and Nala is.” With a captivating combination of infectious beats and mellow instrumentals, Jeryko knows how to keep things fresh and engaging while offering a sincere and inspirational message. “We are meant to lift up the people we love and remind them of their greatness and their potential,” says Jeryko. “Be the One” definitely meets this goal and leaves a lasting impression.
