Lil Uzi Vert Returns With “Demon High”

RGM RATING (??????)

If we sprayed Lil Uzi Vert with some holy water, do you think it would burn him?

Lil Uzi Vert is now Lil Uzi Buff. Did you see those pictures of him in the gym? He looked like a black He-Man. The good news is this: Uzi’s muscles haven’t stopped him from making emo hip-hop music. Today, he decided to release “Demon High,” a track that would’ve fit nicely on the soundtrack to Christine.

I would consider “Demon High” an old-school punk-hop track. The song features one of those mystifying instrumentals that you might hear on a Japanese version of Sonic The Hedgehog, an insanely catchy hook, melodies that really do everything in their power to draw you in, and lyrics that are everything from braggadocios to heartwarming to flat out bizarre. I think that folks will either hate or love the song (I do think everyone will love when the bass drops on the song).

Do you think that you get the most natural version of Uzi in “Demon High?”
