An all-women cast does major work in “Bruised Soundtrack.”

I truly believe that women are running the hip-hop game right now. Not only are rapstresses like Megan Thee Stallion doing collaborations with major brands like Popeyes, but R&B singers like Summer Walker are dropping albums that are outselling the albums released by their male counterparts. Today, a soundtrack for Bruised, a Halle Berry-produced movie, has hit streaming services, and it features some big-name female musicians.

The following people are featured on this soundtrack: Cardi B, Saweetie, Latto, City Girls, H.E.R., Young M.A., Baby Tate, Flo MIlli, Rapsody, Erica Banks, Big Bottle Wyanna, Ambré, and DreamDoll (That’s a helluva lineup). Everyone involved does a great job of rapping and singing with tons of spirit and passion. Whether you are a woman or not, I think you should consume this project strictly because of its purpose.
