Kevin Gates Channels His Island Side In “Move”

RGM RATING (??????)

I didn’t know that Kevin Gates was capable of making a track like “Move.”

Kevin Gates is as complicated as Chicago Bears’ Quarterback situation. In one sense, he is someone that seems to have a peaceful spirit to him, while in another sense, he is someone that I can see violently slapping someone in the face. For his latest single, Gates channels his peaceful side.

“Move” is powered by an uptempo island instrumental that would make even Stick Stickly shake his ass. Over it, Kevin Gates passionately sings about wanting nothing but positivity around him. While his signature firm voice is certainly visible in the song, his reliance on colorful melodies is what makes it go.

Kevin Gates is a changed man after having some Jollof rice for the first time.
