Heart & Soul / Alligator Walk

NBA Young Boy

RGM RATING (????????)

This is a very good release by YoungBoy.

For the first time in a while, NBA YoungBoy is actually talking to folks on social media. These last couple of days, conversations that the Baton Rouge rapper has had over Clubhouse has hit the net. Don’t worry, YoungBoy is still opening up in his music. In his latest single, “Heart & Soul / Alligator Walk,” he lets his heart bleed in various ways for more than six minutes.

“Heart & Soul” is a very emotional banger, while “Alligator Walk” is a very murderous banger. While I prefer the former (I like it when YoungBoy talks about some real s**t in his music), the latter does activate criminal Q (There’s no such thing as Criminal Q, BTW). I think it is genius that NBA decided to merge the two completely different songs (He should do that more).

I can’t believe that NBA YoungBoy and myself are from the same hood (I was born in Baton Rouge, too).
