RGM RATING (????????)

A hypnotic rock tune that reflects on what makes someone a “Good Man.”

Grapevine, Texas native WNTR PPPR is an up-and-coming artist with a unique sound. He first hopped onto the music scene this year showing off a style that reflects his love for “everything about Woodstock 1969.” His musical influences include artists such as Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Seger, as well as groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, and Sublime. WNTR PPPR’s music, whether based on fact or fiction, is typically written with his wife and three daughters in mind. His latest release is the rock single “Good Man.”

Straightaway, the rock single sets its melancholic style with light tones that nicely compliment and highlight WNTR PPPR’s reflective lyrics. Lines like “Thought I’d be a wise man but what do I know” and “What I’ve fought, it has taught me to not take it lightly” get wonderfully personal and thought-provoking. Additionally, a well-placed upbeat instrumental solo keeps “Good Man” from feeling constrained in sadness and shows off some seriously stylish sounds. You definitely don’t want to sleep on this rising new artist, so check out “Good Man” and get lost in a wonderfully musing rock experience.
