If Megan Thee Stallion decided to hang up the mic for good tomorrow, I am pretty sure that she would have several endeavors and advertisement opportunities waiting for her at her front door. In the last few months, I’ve seen her face on hot sauce packets, SNL, billboards in New York City, and underwear ads. The good news is that Megan has not decided to hang up her mic just yet; instead, she decided to release a brand new track called “Flamin’ Hottie” today.
Honestly, I don’t love “Flamin’ Hottie.” Don’t get me wrong, Megan puts up a pretty decent rap performance in the song; I just feel like the song sounds like 50 other Megan Thee Stallion songs that I’ve heard before. Whatever the case may be, music fans will love her spicy approach to letting folks know that she is the s**t. Fans will also love the song’s naughty flipping of the already naughty Salt-N-Peppa classic track “Push It.”
I prefer my women to be Cool Ranch Doritos, but hey, that’s what I like.
