Whether you like Tory Lanez or not, you have to admire the fact that he has come out of his situation with Megan Thee Stallion with only a few scars. I think he still moves the needle for plenty when it comes to music. With the release of “CAP,” Tory makes it clear that he has no interest in playing the victim.
“CAP” is mean as s**t. For starters, the song boasts this hard-ass beat that has its moments in which it tries to hypnotize you. As for Tory, he hurls out bars that remind us that he’s living lavishly, and bars that take shots at “people that he doesn’t like (aka Pardison Fontane and Megan Thee Stallion).” If I were to guess, the song is a mean teaser for something even more special.
It’s crazy how Tory is just as good at rapping as he is at singing. I don’t even notice when he transitions between the two anymore.
