The older I get, the more and more I appreciate music that boasts deep messages and unique styles. With that being said, Chinese musician (By way of Malaysia), Yang The Young, is someone that makes songs that fit that mold. One of his latest singles, “I’m Sorry,” is an intimate portrait that features emotional vibes and very profound lyrics.
There is plenty to adore about “I’m Sorry.” For starters, I absolutely love the soul-clenching instrumental that powers the song. I also like how much of an open book that Yang The Young is in the song. Throughout it, using unorthodox cadences and flows, he blesses us with moving lyrics to describe the crossroads that he is facing with his family as he tries to get them on board with his rap aspirations. Anyone that is facing a similar situation will love this track.
