A captivating alternative rock fusion with dark moments.

I Fight Fail is an alternative pop/rock band from Canton, Ohio. They are made up of vocalist/guitarist Andy Potter and drummer/guitarist Anthony Carter. The group initially gained notoriety in 2016 with their EP, Voyages and Vantage Points. They were raised on 2000s emo and punk, so I Fight Fail’s inspirations aren’t limited to a specific style. The band’s creative mixes are available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. I Fight Fail’s latest drop is the alternative single “Faded,” and it features AJ Perdomo from The Dangerous Summer. The track also has accompanying visuals.

“Faded” contains the perfect combination of alternative rock, emo, and pop-punk. These influenced sounds accompany a heartfelt undertone. Lyrics like “As I fall into the void with all the things that I destroyed, it’s like waking up after sleepwalking” and “This life, this love, this Armageddon, feels like I’m stuck in a chokehold” offer emotional contemplation. Meanwhile, the passion-filled vocals are energizing, balancing out the single’s somber side. This song throws you back into the early 2000s; at the same time, it is reminiscent of Fall Out Boy or OneRepublic’s music. Fans of alt-rock will love I Fight Fail’s sharp style, so press play and dive into the electrifying darkness of “Faded.”
