“Palm Trees” is lush, and there’s no other way to describe it. It offers a blend of pop-rap sounds to compliment an emotional reflection. Lyrics like “Walking away, I didn’t mean every promise that be giving you faith/ Communication, I don’t need the invasion I think I just need my space” and “Heard through the grapevine/I’m mad that you ain’t mine/I’m feeling some way” explore frustrations; these include being with a former love while making it clear that one is tired of being mistreated. The song is also upbeat enough to keep your attention, but slow enough to learn the lyrics easily. “Palm Trees” is relatable and ear-pleasing; an excellent follow-up to Beige’s debut. So, stream “Palm Trees” today to luxuriate in summer vibes.
