Last week, Chance The Rapper dropped a track called “Writing Excercise #2.” In it, he hits us with very impressive bars and stupendous flows. This weekend, Chance decided to release “Child Of God,” yet another song in which he shines as a rapper.
“Child Of God” might be Chance The Rapper’s holiest song to date (Mind you, he has a lot of holy songs on his resume). Over a beat that does everything in its power to calm your nerves, the Chicago rapper hits us with bars about his faith and the importance of uplifting the people around him. What I think makes the song special is that it features amazing wordplay.
