“Big Energy” has gotten even bigger.
This past weekend, Latto released her debut album 777. While I do think that the project has a bunch of bangers on it, the biggest might be “Big Energy.” Today, a remix to “Big Energy” that features both Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled hit streaming services.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock your whole life (Living under rocks is starting to sound more and more appealing given all the craziness going on in the world today), you’ve heard the production attached to “Big Energy” on Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” track before. In this remix to “Big Energy,” Mariah recycles her old lyrics and melodies from “Fantasy,” tastefully upstaging Latto’s raps. As for DJ Khaled, he just yells obnoxiously in the track (I have a feeling this song will end up on his upcoming album… I mean, why else would he be on this song?).
