RGM RATING (????????)

This might be the hardest drill track that I’ve heard this year.

Drill music is so big, I’m waiting for someone to do a rendition of the star-spangled banner over a drill beat. Seriously, everyone in the hip-hop game seems to have a drill song in their catalog these days. Today, one of the biggest artists out of New York City, Cardi B, decided to join up-and-coming artists Kay Flock, Dougie B & Bory300 for the Granddaddy of drill songs: “Shake It.”

“Shake It” features hard-ass lyrics, explosive deliveries, an Akon sample from “Bonanza,” and a beat that might f**k around and give you a seizure. Without Cardi B, I think the song could be a major hit in black clubs; with Cardi, I think the song could be a major hit in black, Latino, and white clubs (Cardi moves the needle).
