Gunna and Lil Durk are a duo that rarely misses.
I don’t know about you, but I’m still jamming to Lil Durk and Gunna’s “What Happened To Virgil.” In my opinion, the 7220 track should be nominated for a Grammy, but their committee has been acting funny as of late, so I doubt it will happen. Today, Tay Keith decided to reunite the two musicians for “Light Off.”
It’s kind of hard to believe that “Lights Off” is powered by a Tay Keith beat (It sounds more like a Southside beat, to me). Anywho, the song is a smooth banger that features melodic raps that are delivered slyly by Gunna and boisterously by Durk. As for lyrically, the two rappers hit us with bars that highlight their love for money, codeine, big booty women, and smoke. The song isn’t bad, I just think that it could shift one more gear energy-wise.
