LA-based Grant Knoche is a self-taught singer, songwriter, and dancer who has been producing his own music since he was 11 years old. In 2014, he became a member of the American children’s music group, Kidz Bop. This experience helped Knoche establish his solo career. These days, you can find Knoche’s music on platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. In 2020, he presented us with his debut EP, “COLOR ME BLUE.” Grant Knoche’s latest release is the pop single, “MR. INDEPENDENT.”
“MR. INDEPENDENT” was just performed in the American Song Contest. Knoche represents Texas in this competition to find the best original song in the U.S. (Knoche gives quite a performance on the show). Besides the pop song using hard rock elements, it starts with a low melody and focuses on lyrics regarding his profession. Lyrics like “How can you walk around here and say that this is your job? / Maybe listen to a song before you say it’s all the same” give us the idea that he’s sick of judgment.
