Catchy melodies with powerful lyrics in an electro-pop song.

Nashville-based artist, Nové, is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter. Recently, she accomplished her childhood dream of hearing a song of hers played on the radio. It may seem simple, but to artists, it’s an honor. Additionally, Nové won a competition on Lightning 100, Nashville’s independent radio station; as a result, her song was featured. The artist declares that her songs are “packed full of meaningful stories that weave in the fabric of life that are typically hidden away.” These pieces are available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Nové’s most recent single is the slow pop song, “Claustrophobic.”

Nové was not afraid to go deep for “Claustrophobic.” She informed Bong Mines Entertainment that her music “is about getting stuck in a reality I’ve created for myself, and I need someone to help me get out of it.” The lyrics start with “I float like a boat on an ocean of reasons / shrinking perspectives and holes cut for breathing.” Here, Nové paints a picture for overthinkers and anxious people. She talks about constricting mindsets and the stress that anxiety causes, along with how it needs room to breathe. Similarly, the song’s style parallels the lyrics; the beginning is contained and fast-paced, then it transforms into a freer feeling. Between the two, this song is a great poster for anxiety. So, stream Nové’s “Claustrophobic” today to enjoy a break from anxiety, even for a few seconds.
