A mixed pop, lofi, and hip hop song about growing up.
Canada-born and raised, Edisunn, is a new talent to the alternative hip-hop scene. After releasing singles in 2020, he dropped his debut EP, Thinking Overthinking. On his Instagram, he shared that his album has been finished for over 2 years, claiming that “words can’t describe how excited I am for this to exist in the real world.” This album and the rest of his music are available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Edisunn’s newest single is the lofi, slow pop tune, “In Your Dreams.”
This piece starts off with a slow melody to set a chilling tone. By mixing a slow pop vibe with hip-hop vibes, Edisunn shows uniqueness and incredible versatility. As for the lyrics, they talk about wanting to grow up; however, you don’t always get the results you expected; clearly, this is something almost everyone in their twenties can relate to.
