So, John Legend and J.I.D. are smoking on their women? Technically, this is a diss record then.
Do you know what I love about John Legend? Every year or two, he releases one fun, random-ass song that features a big-name rap artist. Folks like Chance The Rapper, Kanye West, Andre 3000, and more have blessed him with some truly special verses. For his latest instance of fun, random-ass rap-assisted songs, he decided to call on J.I.D.

“Dope” is funkier than my gym shorts after a day of dominating at an outside basketball court (I get buckets!). The song is mainly powered by an uptempo instrumental that will make you shake your ass and a vocal performance by John Legend that is both intoxicating and blissful. As for J.I.D., he hits us with a verse that has him keeping his flows simple and his lyrics sly. All in all, I will be taking several hits of “Dope” today :).
