DEAD SUMMER (EP)
Levi Zadoff & DEAD HENDRIX
Levi Zadoff & Dead Hendrix rock out in the very intoxicating EP, “DEAD SUMMER.”
Los Angeles’ Levi Zadoff and Ottawa’s Dead Hendrix are cut from the same cloth. Not only are the two musical acts punk acts, but they are also individuals that are down to earth. Recently, the duo decided to release DEAD SUMMER, an EP that is based on the subsequent demise of the past two summers because of the COVID pandemic. Ironically, Levi and Hendrix deserve flowers for the performances on it.
I absolutely love DEAD SUMMER. Though it can be described as a punk project, you will hear all kinds of genres and musical elements while you scour through the track (including hip-hop, rock, and trap). As for content-wise, the album boasts lyrics that tell intriguing mental struggles, shaky relationships, and unchained thoughts that float through the minds of people that are simply trying to navigate through a tumultuous situation. All in all, DEAD SUMMER is a great listen because of its explosive instrumentals, intoxicating melodies, and vulnerable lyrics.
Give DEAD SUMMER a shot below.
