Del3x is a rapper from Dallas, Texas who started rapping when she was ten years old. She prides herself on being able to project her voice in her music, both sonically and conceptually. It’s one of the skills she picked up from her musical influences; these include Tupac, Queen Latifah, and Missy. Del3x’s previous releases can be found on Spotify, SoundCloud, and YouTube. Her latest single, “Mic Check,” came out at the tail end of May, and it’s already a fan favorite. The song also has an official lyric video.
“Mic Check” is a “get yourself up” kind of song. Del3x raps about what she’s achieved while she’s been in the game, which, admittedly, has not been long. However, she also makes sure to touch on her realness by letting all her doubters know that she writes her own music.
