Moving On

George Solonos & Jamez

A soothing pop song with spicy undertones.

George Solonos is an award-winning film composer, producer, and guitarist from California. He has spent over twenty years in the industry, and has worked with incredible artists; these include Boy George, Tommy Lee, and Quincy Jones. His discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Jamez, on the other hand, has not been in the industry nearly as long; however, no one can deny that he’s making his way. Jamez is a songwriter, rapper, and singer of all genres who prides himself on his wordplay and his storytelling abilities. His work is available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Together, George Solonos and Jamez have created the pop-rap hit, “Moving On.”

Within the first few minutes of “Moving On,” Jamez shows how comfortable he is with both rapping and singing. He maintains a similar tone while he does both, proving the combination is not jarring to the ear. I originally thought these two were an odd pairing, but they couldn’t have proven me more incorrect. The song has the direction and feel of one person taking creative control, but there were two masterminds behind it. To me, that speaks to their strength as artists. At the same time, the song actually discusses what the title mentions: Why should you move on from a bad relationship? Clearly, they did the right thing. So, stream George Solonos and Jamez’s mastery of “Moving On” for a message on why you should, too.
