Beyoncé is back like cooked crack! While she has dropped a few projects and singles in the last couple of years, her last major release was the phenomenal LEMONADE. On July 29th, Queen B will drop a brand new project called RENAISSANCE. The first sign that the album is really coming out and that this is not a drill is that she decided to release a new single called “BREAK MY SOUL” today.
What an interesting choice to drop a dance track on a Monday night, right? “BREAK MY SOUL” features an uptempo house beat that you would hear only in H&Ms and fancy brunches. It also features stunning vocals and explosive rap deliveries from Beyoncé that make her lyrics about resiliency and reaching greatness illuminate. Though I am slightly surprised by her choice to make “BREAK MY SOUL” her first single, I will not be surprised if people fall in love with the song instantly.
