Michael Lauren provides holiday-Esque vibes in “Biji.”

Michael Lauren is a “jazz drummer with a Rock & Roll heart.” From an early age, he began mastering drumming, and now, at 72 years old, it’s safe to say that he is a veteran at what he does. Throughout the years, Michael has performed with the likes of Benny Golson, Tom Harrell, Bob Stweart, and more. He also has dropped highly-regarded albums such as Once Upon Time and Old School I Fresh Jazz. One of Michael’s latest solo releases is Live At Mobydick Records. The lead single off the album is “Biji.”

I just love how “Biji” feels on my soul. The song features beautifully tumultuous drum patterns, an easygoing tempo, infectious jazz vibes, and holiday feels. As usual, Michael does a fantastic job of pulling listeners in by providing us with music that almost feels therapeutic to the ears.
