Overdose
Fior
An alternative rock single that loves romantic attraction.
American musical creative, Fior, is also known as Zoe Fioravanti. Fior is a captivating independent artist who crafts “sleek, beat-driven, pop-infused music with elements of R&B, rock, and soul.” For this great work, she was recently named one of People magazine’s “Emerging Artists to Watch.” By remaining contemporary and atmospheric, her unique sound commands attention. Additionally, this sound shows off distinctive elements that make her music one of a kind. Some of Fior’s influences include artists like Stevie Nicks, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Michael Jackson. Her music is available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. One of Fior’s recent drops is the alternative single, “Overdose.” The song also has an accompanying official music video.
An electrifying alt-rock setup allows “Overdose” to remain dark, yet compelling. As the villain of the story, Fior can’t manage well without hookups and drugs, and she dives in knowingly. Additionally, her song is meant to portray weaknesses while also serving as a warning not to fall into the same trap. Lyrics like “Don’t wanna abstain, I need to use, I need to take you in” and “I’m going, I’m going, I’m gone, You’re dope, And you blow me, Right into your arms” explore the euphoric rush of lust. She combines the two into one beautiful explanation of a hit from the person she can’t live without. Really, she doesn’t want to try living without them. Clearly, Fior is addicted, although we can’t blame her if the love is that great. So, press play on Fior’s “Overdose” to find a hook or a hit of your own.
