According to crazy-ass Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert is the most important rapper in the game today. I don’t think that’s a ridiculous statement because of this: Uzi’s willingness to experiment. Today, the Philly native decided to release a brand new single called “Just Wanna Rock.” As expected, the song will go over your head like a halo.

“Just Wanna Rock” sounds like the ultimate mic check track. In it, Lil Uzi Vert makes a bunch of random-ass noises, plays his own hypeman, and talks about a whole bunch of nothing. While I can’t see this song being a personal favorite for anyone, I do think it has some heart-pumping energy that is appealing.
