A hip-hop track with a diverse message.

Petersburg, Virginia born artist, Ha$h, isn’t new to the rap game. He first started back in 1998 by catching the attention of D.J Los while freestyling in a barber shop. 2001 was when he created his own record label, Survival Records, and started signing his own artists. Since 2003, he’s been based in Denver, Colorado and heavily active in its music scene. When he’s not working on music, Ha$h is running a successful clothing brand under the name Survival 7 Apparel. He also frequently works to give back to his community by participating in food and clothing drives. All of his music work, however, is available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. His latest song, “C?IO,” comes from his latest album, Mansa Mustafa. On it, he teams up with fellow rapper Pengame Classic to deliver smart rhymes.

“C?O” has a beat that’s striking and stands out. Elements of jazz and blues, 90s hip-hop, and classical music are fused together to create this infectious sound. It’s timeless: as a result, it can be played for any generation to enjoy. Ha$h, along with Pengame Classic, spits fire with witty rhymes but also provides words of wisdom on the track. Lyrics like “No matter how they’re testing you, you gotta show heart” and “I’m funny, but I will catch a fade; I’m Blake Griffinshow the duality in the song’s messaging. You can go hard while still being an intellectual person. There’s no one path to take according to these artists, and that’s a fair message for those who might not know which road to take in life. So, stream Ha$h’s “C?O” for those moments when you’re feeling both philosophical and gangsta.
