Listen To “Flamerz 5” By Meek Mill

Meek Mill

No, there isn’t a “Flamerz 4.”

Meek Mill is acting like he has a tapeworm in his stomach again. A few months ago, he announced to the world that he is planning to release a bunch of new music; this is after the reception from his last album, Expensive Pain, wasn’t as great as he was hoping. With the release of Flamerz 5, one can argue that the best version of Meek is back like cooked crack.

Flamerz 5, which isn’t available on major streaming services, reminds me of them old-school mixtapes with a bunch of unofficial remixes. Throughout the 15-track project, Meek Mill spits bars over some of the biggest songs from this year, including “Munch” by Ice Spice, “Last Last” by Burna Boy, “Wait For You” by Future, “Super Gremlin” by Kodak Black, and “In A Minute” by Lil Baby. Though the quality of the mixtape isn’t my favorite, I do f**k with the way Meek aggressively digs into each beat he is handed.
