A German artist gives his spin on afropop.

Germany-based artist and producer, Dacris, brings an upbeat and experimental sound to the pop-EDM scene. He released his first single, “The Best (You Never Had),” in 2020. In 2021, Dacris followed with “Anybody,” “Life Is Like a Dancefloor,” “Finally Ok,” “Maybe One Day,” and “Carino.” His entire discography is on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. Dacris just released his latest single, “Don’t Waste My Time.” The song also has an accompanying music video.

In “Don’t Waste My Time,” the vocals are smooth and high-pitched, coaxing anyone into feeling the rhythm. Meanwhile, the lyrics tell a simple story about a man getting his pockets drained by his girl; however, he’s too blinded by love to care. The production attached to the song is a mini tropical getaway with its energetic, dance vibes and rhythmic drums.
