CJ Reminds Us That He’s “Gangsta”

CJ has a new sound that I love!

I am someone that is very high on CJ. Though several people wanted to put him in a box after he dropped “Whoopty,” I’ve always felt like he had an opportunity to be way more than just a drill rapper. This weekend, CJ decided to release “Gangsta,” a track in which he trades in a drill beat for an emotional street beat.

I legit love everything about this “Gangsta!” I enjoy how dramatic the beat sounds and the catchy hook CJ blesses us with. I also love the New York rapper’s lyrics about living by street rules and making key changes in his life now that he has a son. On the real, the whole song reminds me of some vintage 50 Cent s**t.

Y’all feeling CJ’s new sound?
