Deaneaux Says “You Know”

You Know

Deaneaux

A sweet and sensual Afro-pop tune.

Musical creative Deaneaux, is also known as Dean Beresford. Beresford is a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated producer whose initial claim to fame was his role in producing “Womanizer” for Britney Spears. In his career, the Atlanta native’s versatile sound has given him the opportunity to work with a wide range of artists in various genres. His discography spans from the early 2000s to the present and includes production work for notable artists. Some of these are names such as Meek Mill, K. Michelle, Keyshia Cole, Nas, Joey Bada$$, and Jacquees. Currently, Beresford is focused on creating new tunes as a producer/solo artist. His unique sound “is heavily influenced by his Caribbean roots and Atlanta upbringing.” These songs, and more, are available on Spotify. Deaneaux’s debut single, “You Know,” dropped in 2022.

This song is almost beachy enough to count for something other than hip-hop. It’s got a vibe that feels like it has multiple homes, one of the first being in a beachy playlist or a club. If anyone likes “Iko Iko,” you may get similar feelings here. At the same time, it’s actually a love song, a confession piece to the person who makes life worth living. Lyrics like “Time after time you show me your worth / Ain’t nobody better for me on this Earth” and “Don’t care what nobody say, can’t nobody kill it / Baby I swear, I’m committed” hear the artist boldly declare his feeling for his number one. It’s an ear-pleasing Afropop hit that has much more layered in than it appears to at first. It would be a mistake to miss out. So, press play below because “You Know” it will be worth it.
