I love me some Zacari. He can sing his ass off, yet it’s how he goes through the motions in his music that catches my attention the most. Coincidentally, Zacari’s latest single is titled “Motions.”
Growing up, I listened to a bunch of R&B bangers like “Motions.” For starters, the song features soothing production that has just enough knock to it to make you nod your head. Over it, Zacari blesses us with gentle vocals that perfectly mesh with his moody lyrics, while Ab-Soul hits us with a blunt rap delivery that perfectly meshes with his sorrowful lyrics. All in all, “Motions” gives me the Jon B-like vibes I’ve needed for years now.
