Thorgan Throws Us Into The “Immersion”

Immersion

Thorgan

An alternative R&B tune that will put you into overdrive.

Paris, France-based musical creative, Thorgan, is a singer and songwriter who was born and raised in Scandinavia. Thorgan grew up in an artistically-minded family surrounded by classical music, ballet, and opera. At a young age, he discovered his love for music and joined the boys’ choir, Cantores Minores. Thorgan later became the lead singer of a rock band and began taking piano lessons in his early teens. When he was 15, he realized his passion for R&B music, which led to him releasing his first single, “AM.” Since then, the artist has released a number of tracks, along with his debut album. Thorgan’s sound is described as “dark, melancholic, romantic, and unique.” His impressive discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Thorgan’s hit, “Immersion,” is one of the four tracks on his new EP, Beauty of Chaos I. The song also features accompanying visuals.

While “Immersion” is listed as an R&B track, there are so many elements of Thorgan’s other influences available to the ear. This song feels like the beginning of a musical, an opening to an opera, and even with hard beats, you can picture a dancer working with it. At the same time, it’s short, meant to draw you in to want more. While it’s barely a minute and a half long, we feel the angst and darkness edging at our souls. Lyrics like “I can feel the change / Was it all in vain? / Why do we pretend? / We could be the same” and “I can see the end / Standing on the edge / None of us are safe / Till I turn away” prove as much. It’s haunting, it’s powerful, and it promises great things. So, press play below to get lost in Thorgan’s “Immersion.”
