Oklahoma-based musical creative, Kid Prexy, is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. With a long-standing passion for music, the 15-year-old artist first began playing the guitar when he was just eight years old. Prexy also plays the drums, ukulele, and bass. This talented young mind takes inspiration from artists like Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION, Post Malone, The Kid LAROI, Powfu, and Machine Gun Kelly. Prexy was just 13 years old when he recorded his first EP, Broken Promises. This work explores “the complex emotions of being a teenager & living life from his perspective while inspiring others.” His discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Kid Prexy’s latest drop is the pop-punk single “In My Head.” The song also has an accompanying music video.

Vibrant instrumentals and a hard backtrack have “In My Head” offering up a satisfying pop-punk soundscape. The result is angsty and full of teenage emotions hidden behind the words. Lyrics like “Thought we’ll be together / Like Romeo and Juliet / But only for forever / Where nothing else matters” and “My heart is cold as ice / Not when I look in your eyes / Is this what love feels like?” explore the emotional ups and downs of love and heartbreak. With its delightful fusion of rock, pop, and punk elements, Kid Prexy gifts us with a captivating pop-punk single about a teen romance.
