Passenger Princess
Francisco Martin
A pop gem about wanting a deeper connection.
Los Angeles-based musical creative, Francisco Martin, is a Filipino-American pop singer, songwriter, and producer. He is also a self-taught musician who learned to play the drums, guitar, piano, and several other instruments as a child. Martin initially gained notoriety in 2020 after he appeared on season 18 of American Idol, where he finished in the Top 5. Since then, he has released a number of singles and has gone on a coast-to-coast tour. Some of Martin’s best-known hits are “Narcissist,” “freak show,” and “hate you to love myself.” These songs are available on Spotify, YouTube, and his own website. Francisco Martin’s latest release is the pop single “Passenger Princess.”
Indie rock and soulful instrumentals make a beautiful combination. As a result of their marriage, “Passenger Princess” provides that delightful, slow, and sweet fix for anyone longing for love. Lyrics like “Another day with her grace / In her castle / Well, I guess I am the king” and “Driving on the one next to a goddess / To be real with you / I think I’m bout to fall in” explore the joy of being in the presence of a special someone while still longing for a deeper connection. There’s a chance things won’t work out; however, Martin is still willing to give it his all and try for that one worthy person. All in all, “Passenger Princess” is a dreamy pop gem that pays tribute to the viral term for ladies who don’t drive but instead get driven around and pampered. It’s clear Martin would love to pamper someone.
