His discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. JoeJas’s tune, “Lax,” comes from his 2022 album, Gaps & Nomads. The song is also accompanied by visuals.

“Lax” is lively and colorful, full of the creative spontanity of the early 2000s music videos. At the same time, it feels almost childish in the best way. It’s like a throwback to the best parts of our lives, like this is a song we might have been singing along to in the past. Lyrics like “Roll around with my villains / Sponge Bob socks / Out the kicks straight chilling” and “Do you cause that’s always the ace plan / To separate your island from the mainland” offer up plenty of charming and playful moments. With clever lyricism and quirky visuals, we’re given a Looney Tunes-style opening and Spongebob bouncing over the lyrics. JoeJas gifts us a truly memorable and genuinely unique hip-hop joint. So, press play below and let the creative visuals for “Lax” put a big smile on your face.
