R-Mean Connects With Nas & Scott Storch For “Candle Of The Devil”

Candle Of The Devil

R-Mean (Ft. Nas)

R-Mean and Nas sound equally outstanding on this track.

R-Mean is not quite a household name. However, when it comes to making impactful hip-hop records, he’s up there with the greats. Recently, the LA rapper got one of his biggest endorsements to date: A guest feature with Nas on “Candle Of The Devil.”

R-Mean channels Nas, and Nas channels old Nas in “Candle Of The Devil.” In the song, which is powered by this intergalactic hip-hop beat that only craves rappers who know how to drop knowledge, the two rappers spit bars about keeping the devil, dirty apples, and negative thoughts at bay. While R-Mean’s wordplay and slithery flows are what catch my attention the most, I definitely soaked up Nas’ wise words.

I don’t think I’ve heard a track like this in 15 years.
