Coi Leray’s Hot Streak Continues With “Bops”

Coi Leray

Coi Leray brings it back to The Neptunes era with this one!

Coi Leray is a certified hitmaker. Whether you want to admit it or not, she’s been killing her guest appearances (ie “Flip A Switch (Remix)”) and dropping fire-ass singles (ie “Players”) since the start of the year. What I like about Coi’s approach lately is that you never know which direction she’s going to go musically. For instance, who the hell saw her linking up with Busta Rhymes for one of the remixes to “Players?” With that being said, in Coi’s most recent single, “Bops,” she channels an early 2000s/The Neptunes sound.

“Bops” boasts a shiny beat that will make you want to Harlem Shake. Given the fact that Coi was probably six years old when the Harlem Shake was popular, I’m pretty sure she doesn’t know what the hell I’m talking about. Anywho, throughout the song, Coi puts her haters in their place and brags about the hits she has on her catalog. As expected, it’s the confidence that she raps with that will catch your attention the most. You’ll also rock with how aggressive her deliveries are. All in all, “Bops” is a vintage-sounding banger that displays how much of a student of the game Coi is.

If you threw NORE on this song, I might’ve lost my mind.
