Doe Boy turns the hell up in “BEEZY.”

TOP 5
Honorable Mention. RAN INTO A THUG
You don’t get to hear Doe Boy sing a lot on this album, but when he does, he’s top 5 (It doesn’t even matter the list).
“RAN INTO A THUG” is a legit hood love song. In it, Doe Boy fearlessly flexes his vocal skills, harmonizing his ass off and hitting us with melodies that would make Mary J. Blige jealous. He also pours his heart out lyrically, letting his chick know that he’s totally worth her time.
In all seriousness, Doe Boy has a very solid singing voice.
5. TRY & SEE (Ft. Future, G Herbo & Roddy Ricch)
Of course, this song made my top 5 list. It features Future, G Herbo, and Roddy Ricch.
Do you know what irks me about this song? G Herbo is the one that provides the hook on it; not chorus killers, Future and Roddy Ricch. The good news is that Future and Roddy do put up amped-up verses that go really well with the song’s high-energy beat. Doe Boy also hits us with a sly-ass verse that makes me want to slide on folks for no reason.
4. NONSENSE
“NONSENSE” is too damn short.
Lowkey, “NONSENSE” might be my favorite track from this album. I rock with the NBA YoungBoy-inspired hook, slick deliveries, and effortlessly ruthless lyrics that we get out of Doe Boy in the song. S**t, I just rock with how this song flows overall.

3. PICK A SIDE (Ft. EST Gee & Southside)
EST Gee and Doe Boy explain what beef is in “PICK A SIDE.”
“PICK A SIDE” definitely feels like EST Gee’s record. Not only does he set the tone for it with a trill-ass verse and hook, but the feverish Southside beat we get also fits his style. Don’t sleep, Doe Boy does his thing, too. I like the animated and gritty verse he lays down. Both rappers do a good job of sounding like relentless killers that want to see all of their opps knocked off.
2. GRIM REAPER (Ft. Krayzie Bone & Bizzy Bone)
Cleveland, this one’s for you!!!
For those of you that don’t know how hard Cleveland, Ohio goes, I highly recommend that you listen to “GRIM REAPER.” In the song, Clevelanders, Doe Boy, Krayzie Bone, and Bizzy Bone, trade verses, hitting us with bars that highlight their love for revenge, lean, and guns. While Doe Boy relies on a very menacing sound in his verse, Bizzy Bone hits us with his signature tongue-twisting flows and Krayzie Bone hits us with his signature mind-numbing vocals. Overall, I just appreciate how action-packed this banger sounds.
1. DEEP END (Ft. Don Toliver)
I’m surprised at how much Doe Boy does the heavy lifting for this smooth banger.
Doe Boy absolutely shines in “DEEP END.” In the song, which is powered by this relaxing R&B trap beat, he hits us with soothing vocals, gritty raps, breathtaking melodies, and lyrical content that I think perfectly straddles the line between brash and comforting. You can really hear Future’s influence as an executive producer in this song.
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t need Don Toliver here. His part isn’t bad, I just think Doe Boy handles his business. With that being said, I do think that Don solidifies the song’s smooth vibes with a very intoxicating verse.

RGM RATING
(C)
Doe Boy has always been a bit of an underdog. You can’t tell him that, though, he definitely raps like a number one option.
BEEZY is a hip-hop album that is as action-packed and multi-faceted as it gets. It boasts everything from love songs to street bangers to club bangers. What I like is that Doe Boy adjusts his style just enough to fit whatever beat he is handed, but also stays completely true to who he is lyrically. So, who exactly is he? Well, based on the tracks I heard, Doe Boy is a pistol-packing individual that isn’t afraid of s**t, that likes hustling, and that can care less about a bih. While I wouldn’t say that his rapping skills are top-notch, I do appreciate his animation and passion. Like, he never sounds bland at all.
The guest appearances on this album are solid (And is the main reason I decided to do this review). BEEZY features DaBaby, Lola Brooke, Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone, G Herbo, Roddy Ricch, Don Toliver, Lil Yachty, Future, and Luh Tyler. While I thought the guests who tried to go toe to toe with Doe Boy had the best showings (aka DaBaby, Bone Thugs, Lil Yachty, and Luh Tyler), I wasn’t a fan of the guests who tried to slide him a hook or take over the songs they were on.
In a hip-hop world where originality is at a low point, I found it dope as f**k listening to the very brash and authentic Doe Boy in BEEZY. He may not be a star in the making, but he is definitely an artist that will go down doing s**t completely his way.
