“The Lure” & “World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak”
The Weeknd & Lily Rose Depp
I haven’t watched an episode of The Idol yet. Is it a good show?
We are in the midst of getting a brand new The Weeknd album… Sort of. Very soon, the Canadian singer will release his The Idol soundtrack to the world. It will mainly feature him but also a bunch of different artists. In the meantime, The Weeknd has teased us with a few singles from the project these past couple of weeks. Today, he decided to release two more singles from it, “The Lure” & “World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak.”

If you didn’t enjoy sitting through band class when you were a teenager, I recommend that you skip “The Lure.” The song is practically a dramatic instrumental by Mike Dean that features slight vocals from The Weeknd. The song is not bad, it’s just something I’m not trying to hear right now.
“World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak” is a lot of fun to listen to. In the song, which is The Weeknd-less, up-and-coming pop star, Lily Rose Depp, uses intoxicating melodies and numb vocals to shine a light on her freaky/gold digger ways. If you are a fan of The Weeknd’s brash lyrics and cocaine-inspired club beats, I think you will enjoy “World Class Sinner / I’m A Freak” (I damn sure know Zion Williamson will).
The Weeknd is a genius.
