Tyga, YG & Blxst Join Forces For “West Coast Weekend”

West Coast Weekend

Tyga, YG & Blxst

Summer banger of the year?

Tyga, YG, and Blxst are three of California’s most Californian Californians. Not only do they have strong LA accents, but I also feel like they make music that is fully catered to people on the West Coast. This past weekend, the trio dropped a new collaboration single called “West Coast Weekend.” There are several reasons why the DJs in LA need to spin the track often.

The first thing that will catch your attention about “West Coast Weekend” is that it samples Tupac’s “All About You” hit. In Tyga’s verse on the song, he does his best Pac impersonation while also coming across as his borderline chauvinistic self. As for Blxst and YG, the former hits us with an infectious hook that will definitely make you want to party, while the latter hits us with a brash and aggressive verse that has him sounding like a playa that can give a damn about commitment. On the real, the chemistry between the three artists is great.

Damn, you know what I forgot? That YG and Kehlani were once an item.
