Scientists & Engineers
Killer Mike (Ft. Andre 3000, Future & Eryn Allen Kane)
Atlanta’s finest don’t disappoint here.
Music has stunk this year. Only a few major hip-hop albums have been released, and one is barely a hip-hop album (Let’s Start Here by Lil Yachty). With that being said, really soon, Killer Mike will drop a new album called Michael. I expect it to be one of the best releases of 2023. Today, an amazing new single from the project, “Scientists & Engineers,” featuring Andre 3000, Future & Eryn Allen Kane, hit streaming services.

In “Scientists & Engineers,” you get crazy bars and gospel vibes. Throughout the song, Andre 3000, Future, and Killer Mike each hit us with elaborate verses that boast immaculate wordplay (Particularly from Andre 3000 and Killer Mike), infectious melodies (Particularly from Future), and some fascinating lyrics. On some real s**t, I can try my best to explain this song to you, but I recommend that you just read the lyrics attached to it. For instance, Andre says the following in his verse:
“Operator, operator, I will pray that you connect me to a sip
Of sangria, Zambia, camera cameo, hand me a handful of hips
A stamina stampede of happily happenings, dabblin’ into oblivi’
V on, neon, be on the ambiance beyond as you promised that you would live”
While Killer Mikes says the following in his verse:
Music, computers and robbers and looters
And looters with shooters, and shooters with Rugers
And shooters with Rugers, CDs with my tooters
And my tutors taught me a terrible miracle
You can lie, cheat and still kill in America
Like, what the f**k did I listen to?
