3. Coogi Sweater 2

You like money, right? If so, shut up, sit down, and enjoy this track.

For motivational purposes only, “Coogi Sweater 2” is all about stacking money, staying true to your unapologetic ways, and being self-sufficient. Out of all the tracks on this album, Kami sounds the coolest in this one. I love how his laidback but assertive style of rapping merges with the lavish production, which only becomes more and more luxurious as the song plays on. Additionally, I really rock with the splash of soul that we get.

“Coogi Sweater 2” gives me “C.R.E.A.M.” vibes.

2. Beautiful

Play this song every morning for motivational purposes.

Blac Kami practically forces a smile out of you with his words in “Beautiful.” In his verses on the song, he speaks about the importance of being resilient, overcoming the bad days, embracing the good days, and praying for others.

I’m not going to lie; the passionate, old-school vocals that we get on the hook pierced my soul. Now, I probably have to go to the ER. I also really like how Kami’s aggressive deliveries and impactful bars intertwine with the soulful production.

1. Young OG

Blac Kami teaches a masterclass in “Young OG.”

Juelz Santana once said, “Don’t watch me, watch TV. This is pay-per-view, you gotta pay for this!” and that way of thinking applies here. In “Young OG,” Blac Kami delivers intricate bars that touch on his business moves, ambitions, determination to be successful, and solid demeanor. The song’s hook is slick as hell and incredibly inspirational. Moreover, I admire how Kami navigates through the hard-hitting, glimmery beat, exuding confidence like never before.

These albums are the type that will reignite your love for hip-hop.

Blac Kami’s influences clearly stem from boom-bap and backpack. While exploring this album, I got vibes reminiscent of Lupe Fiasco, Common, and Talib Kweli. Not only does Kami deliver his verses with unwavering confidence, but he also makes it his mission to drop meaningful, wise, empowering, and competitive lyrics at every opportunity.

The Soul Theory showcases top-notch production. Blac Kami’s choice to rap over beats with soul and old-school hip-hop vibes is a brilliant one. It’s so easy to drown in them. Kami deserves kudos for effortlessly immersing himself in the beats while staying true to his style.

Black Kami is a refreshing hip-hop artist to listen to. When he raps, there are no gimmicks or fluff; he just gets straight to the point, giving us exactly what we want. It’s a beautiful experience to listen to his music.
