July Shines In “Salone”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Such a vibe.

July is an indie R&B artist from London, U.K., who definitely gives off The Weeknd vibes. Considering The Weeknd’s acclaim, that is a compliment. July’s music features amazing melodies, soothing vocals, and lyrical content that leans toward the edgier side of R&B.

Some of July’s most popular releases include “Magnum,” “Medicated,” and “Circus.” One of his standout tracks is “Salone.”

The vibes in “Salone” are impeccable. First and foremost, the track boasts an impactful, hard-hitting R&B beat that oddly evokes both church and strip club vibes (Maybe a church with stripper poles?). Over it, July delivers a masterful performance with a highly infectious melody, angelic vocals, and unapologetic lyrics centered on a life of pleasure and non-commitment. I respect it.
