Teezo Touchdown & Janelle Monae Unite For “You Thought”

You Thought

Teezo Touchdown (Ft. Janelle Monae)

Teezo Touchdown is on the verge of taking off.

Teezo Touchdown is undoubtedly destined for superstardom in the music industry. Not only has he received endorsements from legends such as Drake and Travis Scott, but he also possesses a sound that I genuinely believe is truly unique. However, not many people are familiar with the solo work he’s produced. Today, amidst his growing fame, Teezo dropped a fantastic new single titled “You Thought” with Janelle Monae.

One of the most remarkable transitions of all time takes place in “You Thought.” The song kicks off with a punk-inspired vibe, featuring rapid cadences and electrifying guitars. However, it swiftly transforms into an authentic, smooth R&B anthem that evokes Aaliyah and YNW Melly vibes. In the latter part of the song, Teezo’s pure, silky-smooth vocals seamlessly blend with his lyrics about the fragility that often accompanies romantic relationships. As for Janelle, she serves as Teezo’s emotional support, contributing her vocals at strategic moments in the track.

Next week, Teezo Touchdown will release his debut album, How Do You Sleep At Night? Based on his feature on Travis’ album and this song, I’m very excited about it.
