The year of the Pink continues.
Under everyone’s booger-filled nose, PinkPantheress has had an amazing year. Her “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” collaboration single with Ice Spice has exploded, while her collaborations with Barbie, Troye Sivan, and Destroy Lonely have been highly regarded. I think it’s safe to say that PP is her. Today, she returned to the music scene with a brand new single called “Capable Of Love.” I expect it also to do serious numbers.
“Capable Of Love” aligns with the artist’s signature style, featuring soft and dreamy vocals accompanied by an uptempo, atmospheric beat. As for lyrically, lines like “And I think I need a picture ’cause it’s never enough, To see you smilin’ in my mind when I lie still in the dark, It starts with you-ooh, Starts with you-ooh” and “I just need to know if you’re capable of love (I got a readin’ on my palm just to see) convey a sense of longing and the search for love, with the artist contemplating whether the subject of the song is truly capable of love. If it’s Future she is talking about, then he is not.
PinkPantheress needs to start promoting candy. Her music makes me want to eat some Jolly Ranchers and s**t.
