Rating: 3 out of 5.Megan Thee Stallion really opens up on this track.
Now that Megan Thee Stallion’s legal situation is behind her, she’s back to making music freely. While we all have made assumptions about how she feels and what she has gone through, she hasn’t formally told us how she feels just yet. I do expect her to open up about everything in her forthcoming album. Today, the Texas native returned to the music scene with a new single called “Cobra.” In it, she fearlessly discusses her current mental state and how hard she’s been working on herself.
Whether you believe Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion or not, at the end of the day, she was a victim. I mean, s**t, SOMEONE shot her damn foot, right?! In “Cobra,” Megan describes what being a victim sounds like. In the song, which is driven by this dramatic, ferocious, unorthodox beat, she talks about thinking about suicide, being with a partner who cheated on her, and missing her parents. What strikes me about the song is how cold-hearted Megan sounds throughout it. Damn, we might have really broken her.
Give Megan’s “Cobra” a shot below.
