Benny The Butcher and Stove God Cooks are Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green on this s**t.
An upcoming album that I’m eagerly anticipating is Benny The Butcher’s Everybody Can’t Go. Having thoroughly enjoyed his previous release, Burden Of Proof, I’m optimistic that he’ll deliver another impressive project. While we’ve already had a taste of one of the singles, “Big Dog” featuring Lil Wayne, he recently released another single on Friday titled “One Foot In,” featuring Stove God Cooks and Hit-Boy.
The beat that powers “One Foot In” just got into a full-blown melee with my speakers. That s**t was ugly.
Fortunately, Benny The Butcher and Stove God Cooks exhibit no hesitation in tackling it. In Benny’s verse, he employs various flows and an assertive tone, rapping about his ascent to the top and contemplating retirement from the rap game. Meanwhile, Stove God Cooks emphatically underscores his superiority over everyone else. While I believe Benny could have allowed the hook to stew a bit more, I have no complaints about any other aspect of this song.
Damn, we’ve gotten to the point where I prefer a French Montana verse over a Lil Baby verse…
