KANYE’S TOP 5 ALBUMS
5. THE LIFE OF PABLO
“The Life of Pablo” is often overlooked, but it’s a testament to Kanye’s versatility. It features soulful tracks like “Wolves,” controversial tunes such as “Famous,” church-inspired vibes on “Ultralight Beam,” commercial hits like “Waves,” and classic Kanye vibes with “30 Hours.” To me, the album feels like a curated ‘Best of’ collection.
The title and album cover for The Life Of Pablo are pretty random…
4. COLLEGE DROPOUT
For many artists, their debut album is one of their best works, but for Kanye, his first album feels more like an introduction to his artistic capabilities.
While College Dropout might not be Kanye’s most technically impressive album, it is undeniably his purest. It showcases a version of the rapper that is raw, energetic, eager to prove his worth to the rap game, and unapologetically experimental. The album is rich with college-themed music, a thematic approach that I believe Kanye abandoned a bit too quickly.
Interestingly, I had already heard more than half of this album before its official release, as the majority of the songs were featured on a mixtape he had.
3. GRADUATION
Graduation stands out as my personal favorite Kanye project. In this album, Kanye exudes a fun-loving demeanor, celebrating the good life (as seen in “Good Life”), asserting his voice against his enemies (“Can’t Tell Me Nothing”), and highlighting his championship mindset (“Champion”). While the lyrical content might not showcase Kanye’s best bars, his prowess as a producer shines through, crafting beats that feel like a musical collage of eclectic elements.
R.I.P. Kanye’s college bear…
2. LATE REGISTRATION
Choosing between Late Registration and College Dropout is always a challenge. Personally, I find the former to be more polished than the latter, with Kanye delivering refined bars, lively production, and a diverse array of guest appearances, including artists like Jay-Z and Paul Wall. The album’s appeal is further enhanced by its eclectic mix of tracks, ranging from inspirational, such as “Touch The Sky,” to heartwarming, such as “Hey Mama,” to wisdom-filled, such as “Diamonds From Sierra Leone.”
1. MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy stands out as Kanye’s finest album, and I believe it ranks among the best in hip-hop history. To begin with, the cover is striking, featuring a vibrant painting depicting an intense black man engaged in explicit activities with a provocative white angel. Beyond that, I appreciate the album’s darkness, Kanye’s ability to bring together artists with seemingly little in common, the flawless and cinematic production that propels it, and most notably, Kanye’s bold, sinful, and immoral expression throughout. If I were to hazard a guess, the newly transformed Kanye might find this album cringey upon revisiting it.

Although Ye is a nutty dumbass his catalog is undisputably one of the best in music history! Thanks for the review!
